The petitioners have filed this petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution, seeking a direction upon the State to provide police protection and security in view of apprehension of threats from the family of respondent Nos. 3 to 6.

Issue notice. Mr. Yasir Rauf Ansari, learned Additional Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.

The petitioners state that they have solemnised their marriage at the Arya Samaj Vivah Sthal Trust on 20.03.2026. To this effect, a marriage certificate has also been placed on record. of petitioner No. 1 as 21.02.2004 and of petitioner No. 2 as 20.04.1997. They are, thus, 22 and 28 years of age, respectively. 4.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioners have both attained majority, they are entitled to protection from any apprehended threats from their families. Mr. M.K. Kaushik, learned counsel for the petitioners, is directed to convey the present place of residence of the petitioners to Mr. Ansari, who states that he will direct the concerned Station House Officer ["SHO"] to provide the mobile numbers of the concerned SHO and the beat constable to the petitioners, so that they may contact them in the event of any exigency. Additionally, if the petitioners are required to shift to any other location, they will coordinate with the concerned SHO so that a similar arrangement can be made by the concerned police station.

As no further orders are sought in this petition, the writ petition is disposed of, reserving the rights and remedies of the petitioners.
