The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of six weeks from the date of his release. The petitioner contends that his daughter is studying in 10th class and the examination for 10th class is scheduled to be commenced from 04.03.2020, that is, today and would continue till 25.03.2020. He states that his daughter is alone and requires support during this period. 3.

A status report had been filed, which confirms that the petitioner's

wife had expired in the year 2014 and his father had also passed away in the year 2017.

His minor daughter is sitting for her 10th class board examination, which is to commence on 04.03.2020 and continue till 25.03.2020. The status report also indicates that she is currently residing with her uncle in Village Amupur, Distirct - Karnal, Haryana. 4.

The nominal roll indicates that the petitioner has served actual custody of twelve years ten months and twenty-five days as on 10.02.2020. His conduct in the jail during the last one year has been satisfactory. He has been released on furlough and parole on twenty occasions and there is no allegation that he has abused the said liberty. 5.

In the given circumstances, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of twenty-four days from the date of his release subject to the petitioner furnishing a Personal Bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the trial court. The petitioner shall provide his mobile number and ensure that he is reachable at all times.
