Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner's application for issuance of passport is pending consideration. 2.

It is submitted that the process of police verification is underway and upon conclusion thereof, further steps shall be taken for issuance of passport in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. 3.

Let the police verification be expedited and concluded within a period of two weeks from today. Let necessary steps thereafter be taken for immediate issuance of passport to the petitioner, unless any impediment is disclosed in the police verification report.

The present petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 5.
