This is a petition filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months.

For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice. 3.

Mr. Natrajan, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that the petitioner has intentionally concealed an order dated 22.08.2024 passed in O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 628/2024, wherein extension was granted by this Court.

Mr. Gosain, learned counsel for the petitioner states that there is no intentional concealment and there are averments regarding the same but the order has not been annexed.

I am of the view that the matter is at the stage of final arguments and the delay is not attributable to any of the parties. 6.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of 6 months from today. The period from 22.02.2025 till today stands regularized. 7.

However, the petitioner is cautioned to be more particular about the averments.
