During the pendency of the instant writ petition, the respondent has passed an order dated 24.08.2024 and considering the circumstances of the case, it has decided that the permit holder of the vehicle bearing no. DL1LAB1515 has to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- in treasury. 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, however, submits that a fine of Rs.10,000/- is disproportionate to the alleged violation by the petitioner.

The Court is not inclined to accept the submission made on behalf of the petitioner and instead grants him liberty to make the said payment within a period of seven days from today. Upon payment of the said fine, the respondents are further directed to take the necessary steps within 7 days, for revocation of the suspension of the permit in question.
