It is pointed out by Mr. Bhagwan Swarup Shukla, learned CGSC who appears for respondent no.2 that the process for constitution of the General Council of respondent no.2 has already been initiated. He submits that the nomination have been received from respective States and Union Territories to ensure completion of the process. It is submitted that the communications have already been made.

Mr. Shukla pointed out from the written note dated 13.04.2026 furnished by respondent no.2 that within four months from today, the General Council shall be constituted.

The aforesaid statement is taken on record.

Let the General Council of respondent no.2 be constituted within a period of four months from today. Additionally, it is directed that till the appropriate body of respondent no.2 is constituted, let all the major policy decisions shall be taken with the approval of the Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Union of India or through the set up approved by the Secretrary Culture.

With the aforesaid directions, the petition, along with pending application, stands disposed of.
