CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A. K. CHAWLA

% 11.03.2019 CM APPL. 11307/2019 Exemption allowed, subject to just exceptions. W.P.(C) 2424/2019 & CM APPL. 11306/2019 Instant writ petition has come to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, in effect, to the District Magistrate/Collector (North) to dispose of appeal No.2/2008 Santosh Sharma vs. Sanjay Sharma & Ors., which is pending for the last about 11 years, but, getting adjourned from time to time, even though, it has come to be heard partly.

Ld. counsel for the respondents on her part submits that though the appeal has been heard partly, the hearing could not conclude on account of administrative exigencies and that, efforts shall be made by the DM/Collector to dispose of the appeal in a time bound fashion. Keeping in view the fact that the appeal is pending disposal for the last about 11 years, it is desirable that such an old pending appeal is

disposed of expeditiously and preferably, within three months from today. Directed accordingly.

Petition stands disposed of.
