By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 73/2026, registered at Police Station Chhawala, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 115/126/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (hereafter 'BNS') and all consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

All the petitioners and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned from Police Station Chhawala, Delhi. 4.

closely related family members. It is stated that on 02.03.2026, due to some misunderstanding and on account of domestic issues and strained relations, a quarrel had taken place between the parties. Further, upon a complaint filed by respondent no. 2, the present FIR was registered against the petitioners. Further, it is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 25.03.2026.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 6.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 7.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 73/2026, registered at Police Station Chhawala, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 115/126/3(5) of BNS and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of above, the present petition stands disposed of. 9.
