O R D E R

% 19.03.2020 Mr. Mehra has tendered in Court convenience compilation of relevant orders and Standing Order No. 252/2019, which is taken on record. The missing daughter of the petitioner - Palak Sharma has been located and produced before this Court. We have interacted with her in Chamber. She states that she voluntarily and of her own accord left her parental home. She states that she does not wish to return with her father. Her father and mother are divorced and her mother is residing in Gurugram, and does not attend to her calls. She states that she has two smaller siblings. In view of the circumstances that she has narrated, we are not inclined to

send her back to live with the petitioner. She is presently lodged at Nirmal Chhaya. She states that she would like to pursue her studies. She is a student of class 9.

We direct the State to place Palak Sharma in Khushi Rainbow Home, Mata Mohalla, Tekhand, Okhla Phase I, Okhla Industrial Area, New Delhi 110020, and it shall be ensured that she is provided with all her opportunities and facilities so that she can attend her regular school and in view of the fact that she missed her school ever since she went missing on 07.01.2020. We also direct the Directorate of Education to take all steps and decisions, so as to save her academic year. The process for grant of admission to Palak Sharma in the appropriate school should be completed before 31.03.2020.

In case, the petitioner desires to contact Palak Sharma, he may do so, provided that Palak Sharma is willing to take his call and meet him. In case, Palak Sharma wishes to contact her father, or any relative, she shall be permitted to do so.
