O R D E R

% 31.01.2017 A report was called by this court vide last order from the Jail Superintendant with regard to the cause for imposition of punishment and the nature of punishment imposed upon the petitioner on 08.08.2016. The said report shows that the petitioner was found in possession of some prohibited article. The nature of the said article has not been disclosed in the said report. The punishment was for a period of 30 days, which expired on 01.10.2016. In view of the aforesaid position, the said punishment cannot come in the way of the petitioner seeking parole.

The marriage of the petitioner's younger brother, which is fixed for 02.02.2017, has been verified.

In these circumstances, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks subject to: i) his furnishing personal bond with one surety in the sum of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the Trial Court; ii) he shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working condition at all times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

iii) he shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every Monday at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole; iv) he shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and v) he shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.
