The present petition has been filed seeking following reliefs: "a) issue writ/writs including a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2, (University of Delhi) to restore the petitioner's original result and issue his final degree certificate forthwith; AND/OR b) issue writ/writs including a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 3, UPSC, and respondent no.1, Union of India, to consider the petitioner's candidature for final appointment in the Indian Army on the basis of his original, unaltered result."

Mr. Puneet Mittal, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, at the outset, submits that he will be satisfied in case a direction is given to the respondent university to treat the present writ petition as a representation and dispose of the same in a time-bound manner. 3.

Mr. Mohinder J.S. Rupal, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent university submits that he has no objection in case such a direction is passed.

Accordingly, it is directed that the present writ petition be treated as a representation by the respondent university and the same may be disposed of within a period of one week from today by a speaking order and the order be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.

Needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach the court after the speaking order is passed by the respondent university, if so advised.

With the aforesaid direction, the petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the pending application also stands disposed of. 7.
