The instant writ petition under Article 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking parole for a period of three months. Status report not filed.

Nominal Roll dated 01.01.2018 reveals that the petitioner was convicted under Sections 302/364-A/120-B/34 IPC and was sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for life with fine `2,00,000/-. Nominal Roll further reveals that the petitioner has already undergone sixteen years, three months and twenty days incarceration besides remission for four years, two months and twenty days as on 10.01.2018. He has been granted parole four times earlier and there W.P.(CRL) 240/2018
are no allegations of its misuse. His overall jail conduct is satisfactory.

In the interest of justice and for the reasons mentioned in the writ petition, the petitioner is granted three weeks parole from the date of his release, on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of `30,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/CMM. After completion of parole period, the petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent.

Writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms. 5.
Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendant for information.
