The petitioner is seeking directions to respondents to initiate punitive action against the erring police officials as per the Delhi Police Service Manuals and to pay the cost of the litigation to him. 2.

As far as cost of the litigation is concerned, the petitioner seeks this remedy by filing an appropriate suit. As far as direction to respondents to initiate punitive action against the erring police officials is concerned, it is submitted by the learned APP for the State that the enquiry was conducted against the then Inspector Suraj Pal Giri, who is now ACP. The enquiry report is placed on the record. As per the enquiry report, a warning as per

law has been issued to ACP Suraj Pal Giri, who is now superannuated. Even otherwise, if the petitioner has any grievance in regard to the registration of the FIR, he is free to avail this remedy before the Magistrate and for this purpose and he can approach the Magistrate under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. I am not inclined to give any direction for the registration of the FIR in this petition.

The petition stands disposed accordingly.
