$~70 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(C) 2229/2020 CHANDGIRAM TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGE..... Petitioner Through:
Mr. Apoorv Chander Saxena, Adv.
versus NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION AND ORS.
..... Respondent Through:
Ms. Niharika Rai, Adv. for Ms.
Arunima Dwivedi, Adv.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJIV SHAKDHER
O R D E R
% 26.02.2020 CM No. 7800/2020 1.
Allowed, subject to just exceptions.
W.P.(C) 2229/2020 & CM No.7799/2020 2.
Issue notice. Ms. Niharika Rai accepts notice for respondents. 3.
With the consent of the counsel for the parties, the matter is taken up for final hearing and disposed of today itself. 4.
The limited grievance of the petitioner is that pursuant to the decision taken by the Northern Regional Committee (NRC) in its 306th meeting held between 28th and 30th August, 2019 to constitute a Visiting Team ("VT") [to ascertain and scrutinize essential documents concerning the petitioner, such as, land documents, building, CLU, BCC, non-encumbrance certificate and other connected documents], there has been no movement in the matter. W.P.(C) 2229/2020 1/2
5.
It is the petitioner's case that the VT inspected the petitioner's facilities on 29.11.2019.
6.
There is, however, no explanation as to why the petitioner did not approach the Court up until now, especially when the petitioner is aware of the fact that the cut-off date for academic session 2020-21 stands fixed as 3.3.2020.
7.
Given these circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the concerned regional committee i.e. Western Regional Committee/Northern Regional Committee to take the next steps in the matter in consonance with National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2014 and extant provisions of law at the earliest and if possible, before the cut-off date fixed for academic session 2020-21.
8.
Resultantly, pending application shall stand closed. 9.
