This writ petition has been preferred on behalf of the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following reliefs: "(i) Issue a writ of certiorari quashing the revised short listing criteria / impugned criteria based upon which the list of candidates dated 17.02.2020 and 21.02.2020 has been issued by the Respondent for the interview scheduled on 28.02.2020 for the post of Assistant Professor, Centre for Political Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and (ii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the Respondent to strictly follow the UGC Regulations 2018, as amended from time to time, for inviting the Petitioner for interview for the post of Assistant Professor, Centre for Political Studies, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University."

the advertisement RC/59/2019. However, during the pendency of this petition, the list of shortlisted candidates was cancelled and the post have been re-advertised on 02.05.2022 vide advertisement No. RC/63/2022. 3.

The statement made on behalf of the Respondent is taken on record. 4.

In this view of the matter, learned counsel for the Petitioner fairly submits that the petition is rendered infructuous and may be disposed of accordingly, taking into account the fact that the advertisement is now cancelled and posts have been re-advertised on 02.05.2022. 5.

Petition stands disposed of as infructuous along with pending application.
