By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent and/or Sentence Review Board (SRB) to consider the case of the petitioner and grant pre-mature release to the petitioner in a case arising out of FIR bearing No. 508/2008, registered at Police Station Sangam Vihar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Section 302/307/323 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. The learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

of the Sentence Review Board (SRB), for consideration. 4.

The concerned Jail Superintendent is also directed to ensure that all the documents and reports which have to be accompanied, when the name of the petitioner is forwarded to SRB, are positively sent so that the petitioner's name is not deferred in the said SRB meeting for want of relevant documents.
