In the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution read with Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioner is aggrieved by the conduct of the respondent Nos. 3 to 5 in not registering a case on the complaint preferred by the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that despite the clear directions passed by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. State of Uttar Pradesh & Ors., reported as (2014) 2 SCC 1, no prompt action has been taken by the concerned police officials against the local mafia and that a representation in this regard has already been filed on 06.03.2024, which remains pending. He further states that the petitioner has already approached the concerned Magistrate with an application under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C for registration of FIR against MCD officials, which is also pending. 3.
