The learned counsel for the appellants submits that the appellant has accepted the Impugned Judgment and Decree insofar as it decreed the suit filed by the respondent, and has transferred a sum of Rs. 22,10,004/- to the respondent.

The learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice of this appeal, however, submits that the decretal amount as of today would be Rs. 25,34,098/-. He has handed over the calculation of the same to the counsel for the appellants. 3.

The learned counsel for the appellants has also handed over his calculation of the aforesaid amount to the counsel for the respondent. Both the counsels shall sit together and reconcile the discrepancy in the accounting. In case any further amount is found due and payable by the appellant to the respondent in terms of the Decree, the same shall be released by the appellants to the respondent within a period of four weeks from today.

As the parties have now amicably settled their dispute, to bring quietus to the dispute, the direction of the learned Trial Court to initiate an inquiry under Section 379 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 against the officials of the appellant, is set aside. 6.

The appeal is disposed of with the aforesaid modification of the Impugned Judgment and Order. The pending applications also stand disposed of.
