The instant petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (hereinafter "Cr.P.C" read with Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter "BNSS") has been filed by the petitioner praying for quashing of FIR 392/2022 registered at Police Station Prem Nagar on 24.05.2022, for offences punishable under Sections 506/341/34/452 of BNS.

The petitioners are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and the Investigating Officer, Police Station Prem Nagar. Respondents no. 2 to 7 are also present in the Court and has been identified by her counsel and the Investigating Officer. 3.

outside the respondent no. 2's residence. In the course of the altercation, petitioners allegedly entered respondents no. 2's house after breaking open the door, assaulted him and his family members. Respondent no. 2 lodged a complaint against the petitioners due to which the aforementioned FIR was registered.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submitted that the petitioners and respondents no. 2 to 7 have settled their disputes amicably and are now moving forward towards a peaceful and harmonious future.

On a query made by this Court, respondents no. 2 to 7 have categorically stated that they have entered into this compromise on their own free will and without any pressure. It is also stated by them that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. 6.

Compromise deed dated 07.12.2024 is on record and has been annexed as Annexure P2(colly). On the basis of this deed, respondent no. 2 has agreed to withdraw the case arising out of FIR 392/2022 registered at PS Prem Nagar against the petitioners.

It is prayed by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties that the instant FIR may be quashed on the basis of the compromise. 8.

Learned APP for the State submitted that there is no opposition to the prayer made on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of the FIR in question in view of the settlement arrived at between the parties. 9.

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 10.

Keeping in view the fact that the matter stands settled between the petitioners and the respondent no. 2 to 7 amicably without any pressure, no fruitful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. Hence, in light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court passed in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab(2012) 10 SCC 303, FIR 392/2022 registered at Police Station Prem Nagar, for offences punishable under Sections 506/341/34/452 of BNS, and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

The petition, along with pending applications, if any, stands disposed of.
