The present revision petition is filed under section 25-B (8) of the Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958 to impugn the order and judgment dated 31.01.2019 passed in RC ARC no.25951/2016 titled as Sh. Gyan Chand V Sh. Mukul Grover by the court of Sh. Rajinder Singh, Senior Civil Judgecum-Rent Controller, District West, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. 2.

The predecessor in interest of the petitioner, namely, Gyan Chan filed an eviction petition under section 14(1)(e) read with section 25B of Delhi Rent Control Act, 1958 against the respondent no.1 in respect of the tenanted shop bearing no. 4 forming part of the property bearing no D-525, Tagore Garden, New Delhi. The respondent after service of summons as per the third Schedule, filed an application for leave to defend along with affidavit which was allowed vide impugned order/judgment dated 31.01.2019. Mr. Praveen Suri, Advocate for the petitioner stated that the pleadings before the trial court have already been completed and now the petition is listed for leading of evidence on behalf of the petitioner. He further stated that the present petition can be disposed of with the direction to the trial court to conclude the trial preferably within a period of 09 months. 4.
