M.A. No. 697/2018 (Discharge of the surety) By this application the applicant seeks discharge of the sureties and disposal of the appeal as abated as the appellant has since passed away. A status report has been handed over by learned proxy counsel for learned Spl. P.P. for CBI which is taken on record. As per the status report, the factum of death of the appellant has been verified.

Considering the fact that the appellant has since passed away, the two surety bonds furnished by the applicant pursuant to the order dated 22nd January, 2016 passed by this Court with the learned Trial Court are discharged. Applications are disposed of.
