O R D E R

The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No.0532/2018, registered under Section 75 of J.J. Act at Police Station Vikaspuri, Delhi on the ground that parties have settled their disputes. 2.

As per the prosecution case, the petitioner and respondent No.2 got married on 21.01.2018 and it was a second marriage for both the parties. Both the parties have issues from their first marriage and the petitioner herein physically assaulted her step son. The parties have been granted divorce vide order dated 04.12.2019.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that the petitioner and respondent No.2, have amicably settled their dispute vide memorandum of understanding dated 25.10.2019 executed between the parties, which is annexed with the present petition as Annexure P-1. In terms of the said

settlement, respondent No.2 is now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioner.

The petitioner and respondent No.2, who are present in person, are identified by their respective counsels and the Investigating Officer. 5.

Respondent No. 2, who is present in Court, states that he has entered into the settlement agreement with the petitioner out of his own free will, volition and without any coercion. He further states that he has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties are bound by the statements made in Court today. 8.

In view of the fact that the parties have amicably settled their dispute, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is hereby directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition stands disposed of along with the pending application. 10.

Copy of the order be given dasti to the learned counsels for the parties.
