The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be granted parole for a period of eight weeks to secure medical treatment as he is suffering excruciating pain arising out of severe haemorrhoids and for maintaining social ties.

The petitioner's nominal roll indicates that he was released on furlough for a period of two weeks on 19.12.2019 and he had surrendered on 19.01.2020.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the

petitioner is facing excruciating pain and therefore, requires urgent treatment.

A status report has been filed, which indicates that the petitioner has been suffering from this ailment or related issues for some time. He was under treatment at GB Pant Hospital, Gastrointestinal Surgery Department & DDU Hospital, Surgery Department and upon his request, he was sent to Fortis Hospital, Noida and his haemorrhoidectomy operation was conducted in August, 2016. The same was followed up till November, 2016. 7.

In January, 2020 he again complained of pain in abdomen and bleeding on passing stool, for which he was referred to GB Pant Hospital on 11.01.2020. His CT Scan was done on 17.01.2020. It is also stated that pursuant to directions passed by the Special Judge, he was referred to visit AIIMS Hospital, Surgery Department on 15.02.2020. He was examined and advised appropriate treatment and has stated that further treatment can be conducted at the jail hospital.

It is reported that at present, the general condition of the petitioner is stable and satisfactory and he has been provided all medication, as prescribed.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. However, the jail authorities are directed to provide necessary treatment as advised.
