The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No.714/2021 registered under Sections 469/509/354D IPC & Section 67/67A of the IT Act at P.S. Bindapur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioner sent inappropriate messages and photos to respondent No.2. 3.

Mr. Singh, learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is the only accused person and respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim in the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding/Compromise Deed dated 01.04.2023. The petitioner, who is present in Court, has been identified by his counsel as well as I.O./SI Durgesh, P.S. Bindapur. Petitioner has shown remorse for his conduct and undertakes not to repeat the same in future. He has tendered unconditional apology.

It is noted that on 07.08.2023 respondent No. 2 had appeared in Court and stated that she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR. She was also exempted from appearance thereafter.

The petitioner shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of cost of Rs.20,000/- to be paid to respondent No.2 by way of a demand draft through the I.O. within a period of four weeks from today.

Proof evidencing receipt of payment shall be filed with the I.O. as well as in Court failing which, the Registry shall list the matter in the Court. 10.
