Against Order-in-Original, a statutory appeal is pending consideration at the behest of the petitioner which is informed to have been not decided till this date, in spite of there being reminders and request for early hearing. 4.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, states that the personal hearing notice dated 07th April 2026 is already issued, scheduling the hearing on 20th April 2026.

him to undergo treatment which requires the financial assistance. 6.

Be that as it may, we deem it appropriate to permit the petitioner to appear on 20th April 2026 before the Appellate Authority, along with his written notes of arguments and such other documents which he intends to rely on.

We make it clear that the Appellate Authority shall decide the appeal, in any case, within a period of four weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner.

We further clarify that the claim of the petitioner qua the prayer for redemption of currency be also dealt with expressly in the order to be passed by the Appellate Authority.

With above observations, the petition, along with pending application(s), if any, stands disposed of.
