The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that an action taken report be called for, with regard to its complaints dated 22.08.2017, 03.10.2017 and 08.11.2017 made against a Judicial Officer. 4.

The petitioner has also drawn the attention of this Court to the response dated 7.08.2018, received to his application dated 31.07.2018 under the Right to Information Act, 2005, indicating that his complaints are still under process. It is the petitioner's grievance that unreasonably long time is being taken to dispose of his complaints.

Mr Ghose, learned counsel for the respondent, submits that the petitioner's complaint was examined and the Vigilance Committee at its meeting held on 26.02.2018, recorded its finding that there was no vigilance angle involved in this complaint. In this view, the petitioner's complaint has been disposed of. However, since there were other issues connected with the said complaint, which were required to be considered by the Inspecting Committee, the matter has been directed to be placed before the said Committee.

However, it is clarified that this is not in respect of the Judicial Officer against whom the complaint had been made.

In view of the above, the petitioner submits that he is satisfied that his complaint has been dealt with and states that the petition be disposed of. He, however, also points out that there are serious issues with regard to the functioning of courts handling NDPS cases. He also states that a Public Interest Litigation in this regard, is pending. 7.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
