By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of six months for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing the Award. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed on 18.05.2018.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that while the petitioner witnesses were under cross examination, the mandate was extended till 03.11.2021. the last extension was granted from 04.09.2023 to 31.03.2024. 6.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that now the matter is at the stage of final arguments and further extension of six months has been sought.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. 9.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed, and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of six months from 01.04.2024 till 30.09.2024.

10. The present petition stands disposed of.
