W.P.(CRL) 274/2018 Petitioners are seeking quashing of the FIR no.0201/2017 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC at police station South Rohini on the complaint of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in Court. Her presence has been identified by the Investigating Officer.

Petitioner no.1 is also present. Petitioner nos.1 and 2 had been married according to Hindu rites on 03.11.2014. Their marriage did not work out. They separated and are living separately. They have

been divorced by a decree of mutual consent on 01.12.2017. No child was born from the wedlock. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties a sum of ₹3,50,000/- has been paid to respondent no.1 in full and final settlement of all her claims. The fact that this amount has been received by respondent no.2 is endorsed. The parties have no quarrel left against one another. This is a fit case the where the prayer made in the petition should be allowed. Accordingly, to secure ends of justice FIR no.0201/2017 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC at police station South Rohini and all proceedings emanating therefrom stand quashed.

Petition disposed of.
