The petitioner, who is working as a Store and Purchase Officer equivalent to the grade of an Under Secretary with the respondent/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is aggrieved by the judgment dated 25.05.2017 passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal dismissing his O.A. No.1914/2014 whereunder, he had sought quashment of the amendment to the Administrative Service Recruitment and Promotion (ASRP) Rules of the CSIR issued vide Notification dated 10.04.2001 and further, prayed for directions to the respondents to re-ascertain the choice of his cadre as per his inter se seniority in the select list of the year 1993, w.e.f. 10.04.2001.

After addressing arguments at some length, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition while reserving the right of the petitioner to take legal recourse against the order dated 08/10.9.2014, passed by the respondent/CSIR (at page 133-137). 3.

Leave, as prayed for, is granted. The petition is dismissed as withdrawn alongwith the pending application.
