Issue notice to the respondents.
2.
Ms. Arunima Dwivedi accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 3.
With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for hearing and final disposal.
4.
The substantive prayer made in the writ petition is as follows : "(a) issue an appropriate writ[s]/direction[s] or order[s] directing the NRC/WRC to decide the application of the petitioner institution for issuance of final recognition before cut off date of 03.03.2020 or in its next meeting and as per SOP dated 07.05.2019 issued by the NCTE."
W.P.(C) 2440/2020
5.
Shorn of unnecessary details, what is required to be noticed at this juncture, is that at the 295th meeting of the Western Regional Committee (WRC) which was held between 06.02.2019 and 11.02.2019, a decision was taken to issue a show cause notice to the petitioner. 6.
The petitioner thereafter, filed a reply dated 27.02.2019 to the show cause notice.
7.
It appears that the petitioner thereafter, served a reminder on the WRC on 09.03.2019.
8.
It is the petitioner's case that since then there has been no movement in the matter.
8.1 To be noted, the petitioner had applied for grant of recognition to run a D.El.Ed. course on 30.10.2008.
9.
Given the aforesaid position, the respondents are directed to process the petitioner's application at the earliest, if possible, in the next meeting that the WRC convenes qua such like cases.
10.
The captioned writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 11.
