% 18.03.2019 The present petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking protection under Article 21 of the Constitution of India against the threat to life and liberty of the petitioners namely Mr.Gopal Singhal and Mrs.Pallavi Singhal. In the prayer, a direction has been sought to the respondent Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 to ensure proper protection and security of both the petitioners and prohibiting the officials of respondent Nos. 2 and 3 from harassing the petitioners in any way. It is also submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that petitioners do not seek any protection in Delhi as they are under no threat in the jurisdiction of Delhi.

From the perusal of the record, it transpires that the petitioners are residents of Madhya Pradesh. No cogent explanation has been offered by the learned counsel for the petitioners with regard to the maintainability of the present petition on the ground of territorial jurisdiction. Accordingly, the present petition is dismissed as not maintainable. The petitioners are at liberty to seek appropriate remedy in accordance with law.
