O R D E R

% 19.03.2019 Vide the present petition, the petitioner seeks directions thereby directing the respondent no.1 to reimburse medical expenses on account of medical treatment of his wife for an amount of ₹78,934/-along with appropriate interest thereon till realization. He further seeks direction to respondent no.1 to issue proper medical card for the treatment of the petitioner so that he could get treatment for himself and for his dependent in any hospital, as being a retired employee of the respondent no.1.

For the aforesaid purpose, the petitioner sent a legal notice to respondent no.1 through his Advocate on 24.10.2016 (page35) and thereafter vide communication dated 07.12.2016 ( page 36), it is admitted by the respondent no.1 that the application dated 24.10.2016 received from the petitioner and sent to the Deputy Commissioner (Admn.), Transport

Department, GNCTD to make necessary arrangement for providing medical facility as per the eligibility and as per the decision of this court in the case titled Ram Kumar Kaushik vs. Govt. of NCT of Delhi & Ors. reported as 229 (2016) DLT 219.

Since there was no response from the respondents, thereafter the petitioner again on 07.12.2016 sent another representation to the Deputy Commissioner (Admn.), Transport Department, GNCTD for issuance of appropriate medical card and reimbursement of all the medical bills. However, no response has been received from the respondents till date. The issue raised in the present petition is no more res-integra and has been decided in case of Ram Kumar Kaushik (supra). Accordingly, keeping in view the averments made in the present petition, I hereby dispose of the petition directing the respondents to issue necessary medical card to the petitioner on completion of all the formalities within four weeks from the receipt of this order. I further direct the respondents to reimburse the claim of the petitioner in view of the abovementioned judgment.

The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
