1. This application seeks early hearing of the petition.

2. For the reasons mentioned in the application, it is allowed. The date already fixed i.e. 29.06.2020 stands cancelled.

7. At joint request, the petition is taken up for disposal.

8. The petitioner seeks parole to visit his ailing father who was operated for a cardiac ailment involving a by-pass surgery at Medanta Hospital,

Gurgaon and was discharged on 28.03.2020. His condition is stated to be generally weak, as this is the second time he has been operated upon; He is about 65 years of age. According to the Status Report filed by the SHO, PS Chhawla, New Delhi, the address of the applicant and his father's condition has been confirmed. The applicant has been in custody for over 11 years 3 months and 14 days, he earned a remission of 2 years 10 months 06 days. Earlier he has been granted four paroles and six furloughs, none of which he has misused. His overall jail conduct is stated to be satisfactory.

9. The petitioner's application for parole was filed on 05.05.2020, to which he has received no reply or response. However, Mr. Digpual, the learned CGSC for the Competent Authority submits that the said application has been rejected. The Court considers the need of the petitioner to meet with his father and for the latter also to be with his son as exigent. In the aforesaid circumstances, he is granted parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release, subject to him furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- to the Jail Superintendent concerned. However, the petitioner shall keep his mobile telephone number switched-on at all times and communicate with the Investigating Officer/SHO, PS Chhawla, Delhi every Friday and 'drop-a-pin' on Google map app to indicate his location.

10. The Registry is directed to send a copy of this order by email to the Jail Superintendent concerned, for compliance.
