Mr. Rajeeve Mehra, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioners states that the DRAT Bar Association has filed a writ petition [W.P.(C) 2487/2020] against the respondent/Union of India, to be more specific, Ministry of Finance, for several reliefs one of which is in relation to the Notification dated 06.04.2016 (Annexure-1) amending Rule 19 of the Debts Recovery Tribunal (Procedure) Rules, 1993. 2.

It is submitted that the aforesaid petition was disposed of by DB-I at the stage of admission itself by directing the respondent/Union of India to decide the pleas taken by the petitioners in the captioned petition within a period of 16 weeks.

In the light of the aforesaid directions, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition, except for granting leave to the petitioners to make a representation before the Ministry of Finance, Union of India, raising the grievance raised in the present petition, within ten days from today.

The said representation be considered by the respondent/Ministry of Finance, Union of India and a decision taken within 16 weeks, reckoned from the date of receiving the same, under a written intimation to the petitioners, through the petitioner No.1/Mrs.Asha Nagar. If aggrieved by the decision taken, the petitioners shall be entitled to seek appropriate legal recourse.
