The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent nos. 1 and 2 to provide necessary protection to the petitioners.

The petitioners claim that they are married and are living together at the address as indicated in the memo of parties. They state that they have

married contrary to the wishes of their family members and they apprehend that they will be harmed by their respective family members since they are dissatisfied with their marriage.

In view of the averments made in the present petition, this Court considers it apposite to direct the petitioners to appear before the SHO, P.S. Nand Nagari. He shall evaluate the threat perception and shall provide them such protection as he considers necessary. He shall also provide the contact numbers of beat constables to the petitioners in order that the petitioners can contact the said officials in case of any eventuality. 6.

The petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions. 7.
