The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 22.02.2019 filed by the petitioner. It is stated that the license granted to the petitioner to operate an eatery was cancelled by an order dated 30.01.2019 passed by the Licensing Authority (Joint Commissioner of Police). The petitioner has filed an appeal against the said order before the respondent, which is pending.

This Court is not inclined to issue any directions; however the respondent is requested to dispose of the petitioner's appeal as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from today.
