The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that this Court vide order dated 21.03.2024 had directed the respondent/DDA to pass a speaking order as regards to the grievance articulated by the petitioner in the present petition.

He submits that the speaking order has been passed by the respondent/DDA on 20.05.2024 and the said order has been placed on record by the respondent/DDA.

He submits that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed by the DDA in the said speaking order. However, with regard to the excess amount which has been paid by the petitioner, the DDA has agreed to refund the same without interest as per the policy.

He submits that a time bound direction may be given to the respondent/DDA to refund the said amount.

He submits that insofar as allotment of the subject plot is concerned, the demand-cum-allotment letter has already been issued by the respondent/DDA in respect of the Plot No. 235, Pocket-1, Block-A, Sector29, Rohini. However, now only possession needs to be handed over after completion of formalities.

He further urges that a direction may also be given for handing over of possession in a time bound manner.

In view of the above submissions, it is directed that the excess amount be refunded by the respondent/DDA to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks.

Likewise, the respondent/DDA is also directed to hand over the possession of the aforesaid plot subject to genuineness verification and completion of all total formalities, within a period of eight weeks. 9.
