This is an application filed by the petitioner seeking early hearing. 2.

Considering the averments made in the application, the same is allowed.

W.P.(C) 3541/2025 is taken up for hearing today itself. W.P.(C) 3541/2025 4.

The only relief pressed for by the petitioner is that the respondent be directed to process and issue a passport to the minor child, Ms. Deelisha Khanna, pursuant to her Passport File No. DL2069091895624 and Application Reference No. 23-0019633246, without insisting on her father's consent in view of the petitioner's duly filed Annexure-C. declaration by the applicant's parent or guardian for the issuance of passport to a minor when one parent has not given consent. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent no. 1 submits that an opportunity was provided to the father of the concerned minor child (respondent no. 2) to submit his objections along with documents. However, the said option was not exercised by the father.

Today, learned counsel appearing for the father of the minor child (respondent no. 2) seeks to raise objections to the prayer of the petitioner for issuing of a passport in the name of the minor child. Be that as it may, learned counsel for the respondent no. 1 submits that in view of the developments that have taken place in the present matter, the respondent no. 1 is ready to take an appropriate decision in the matter in line with the extant policy. Let an appropriate decision in this regard be taken by the respondent no. 1. If permissible under the extant policy, let the passport be duly issued to the petitioner.

In case a hearing is sought by the father of the concerned minor child, let the same be granted to him by the concerned authority. 8.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 9.

If any of the parties is aggrieved with the outcome of the aforesaid exercise, it shall be at liberty to avail appropriate remedies under law. 10.
