CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAVIN CHAWLA

O R D E R

% 18.03.2020 Pursuant to the order dated 12.03.2020, the learned counsel for the respondents hands over a Status Report which indicates that out of 167 Indian students details of whom have been given in the petition, 150 were contacted by the Indian Embassy in Iran; 17 of the students could not be contacted.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that even the parents of these students tried to contact them, however, were unsuccessful.

The Status Report further states that 119 students were sampled and out of them, 110 have already returned back to India; 5 students in spite of being contacted did not come for sampling; while 4 tested negative and did not return to India; one student has tested positive

and is under treatment in Iran; for 4 students, though samples have been taken, the same are yet to be tested.

The Status Report further states that another 201 Indians are returning back to India from Iran today.

Having perused the Status Report, I am satisfied with the steps taken by the respondents.

Incase the parents of the students still in Iran are able to contact the remaining students, they may inform the respondents through the Officer, whose details have been provided to the learned counsel for the petitioners. As and when such information is received, the respondents would act expeditiously.

The petition is disposed of.
