Learned counsel for the respondents states that he has obtained instructions from the Department as to whether the representation submitted by the petitioner/Society to the respondent/Director General of Resettlement, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence has been considered or not. He states that the said representation is still pending and since several agencies are involved, it will take at least six weeks for the respondent to take a decision.

In view of the above submission, the petitioner is disposed of with directions to the respondents to take a decision on the pending representations of the petitioner/Society within eight weeks from today under written intimation to them.

If the petitioner/Society is aggrieved by the decision taken, they shall be entitled to take legal recourse.
