By way of present petition, the petitioner is seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus and grant of first spell of furlough for a period of three weeks, in case arising out of FIR No. 428/2004, registered at Police Station Defence Colony, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 302/380/201/411/34 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC'). 2.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner had applied for grant of furlough for a period of three weeks before the competent authority. However, the application of the petitioner has not been decided so far. Therefore, it is prayed that the petitioner be granted furlough for a period of three weeks. 3.
