O R D E R

% 15.01.2016 The present is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Cr.P.C.) praying as follows:- "(i) Issue an appropriate direction as provided under provision of mandamus or any other order thereby directing the respondent No.1 to 4 to protect the marital life of the petitioners and also directed to the respondent No.5 to 7 not to harass and interfere in the marital life of the petitioners and family members of the petitioner No.2 by giving appropriate order in favour of the petitioners and against the respondent No.5 to 7, in the interest of justice.

(ii) Any other or further relief which this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper may kindly be passed in favour of petitioners and against the respondents." Roopa and Deepak @ Vikas petitioner Nos.1 and 2 respectively, are both adults and have married each other of their own free will and desire on 25.11.2015 according to Hindu customs and ceremonies. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners states that owing to the opposition from the family

members of petitioner No.1, they apprehend grave threat to their life and limb. Notice.

Mr. Lao, learned Additional Standing Counsel (Criminal), accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents and on instructions from the IOs SI Abhijeet Singh, Police Station- Gandhi Nagar and SI Vijay Mann, Police Station- Burari states that the facts as stated in the present petition have been verified. Mr. Lao further submits that the Police shall afford adequate protection to the petitioners, the newly-wed couple, after assessing the threat perception. The beat constable of the concerned area shall also be sensitized in this behalf. The telephone number of the SHO of the concerned police station as well as the beat constable shall be provided to the petitioners in order to enable the latter to contact the former in the event of any threat or apprehension. Ordered accordingly.

In view of the direction that is being issued in the present petition, I do not think necessary to issue notice to respondent No.5 to 7, immediate family of the petitioner No.1 herein, in the present petition. With above directions the writ petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be given dasti under the signature of Court Master to counsel for the parties.
