The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that anticipatory bail be granted to him in respect of FIR No. 87/2019. The petitioner is the father-in-law of the complainant. The complainant has alleged that she was molested by the petitioner and had lodged the said FIR on 25.02.2019. In the said FIR, she claimed that the petitioner had tried to grab the complainant on 21.02.2019, but the complainant ran away and locked herself in a bathroom. Apart from the aforesaid statement, there is no statement in the said FIR regarding any allegation of the petitioner molesting the complainant. The gravamen of the said FIR relates to the incident of physical assault. The complainant alleges that on 24.02.2019, the petitioner had beaten up the complainant's father and the petitioner's son had beaten
up the complainant's brother. A call was made to the police authorities on account of the physical altercation that had allegedly taken place. 2.
The petitioner relies upon on certain chat records to state that there was no incident as alleged.

On a pointed query, the learned APP appearing for the State states that the petitioner has fully cooperated with the investigation and a chargesheet has already been prepared, although it is pending clearance. She confirms that the investigation is now over. 4.
In view of the above, there is no requirement for the petitioner to be taken into custody at this stage. The petition is, accordingly, allowed. The petitioner is granted anticipatory bail.
This is subject to the petitioner furnishing a bail bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court. The petitioner shall ensure his presence on all occasions before the trial court as and when the matter is listed. The petitioner shall not leave the territory of Delhi/NCR without permission of the concerned court. Further, the petitioner shall not try to contact the complainant or influence any of the witnesses. 5.
Needless to state that if any of the conditions are violated, the bail shall be cancelled.
