CRL.M.C. 394/2018 1.

The petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.701/2015 under Section 354A(1) IPC, Police Station Hauz Khas. 2.

The petitioner and complainant worked as household help in the same house. They have settled their disputes through the intervention of respectable members of their families. 3.

Respondent No.2 is present in person in Court today and is identified by the Investigating Officer.

She confirms that the settlement has taken place and that she does not wish to press her Crl.M.C.394/2018

complaint any further.

In view of the fact that the parties have settled their disputes and respondent No.2 does not wish to prosecute the complaint any further, continuation of criminal proceedings will be an exercise in futility and justice in the case demands that the dispute between the parties is put to an end and peace is restored; securing the ends of justice being the ultimate guiding factor. It would be expedient to quash the subject FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom.

Accordingly, FIR No.701/2015, under Section 354A(1) IPC, Police Station Hauz Khas, and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.
