The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/Election Commission of India ('ECI') to register the political party of the petitioner, i.e. Maharashtra Development Party. 2.

Ms.

Rohini Pratap, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/ECI, submits that a communication with regard to the verification process carried out by the respondent/ECI shall be issued to the petitioner during the course of the day.

2.1 The petitioner would be at liberty to respond to the aforesaid communication.
