The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR bearing no. 0015/2019 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Krishna Nagar and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer.

She states that she had filed the said FIR in view of matrimonial disputes that had arisen between her and her husband (the petitioner). She states that she has since resolved all her disputes and is living with her

husband. Respondent no. 2 prays the FIR in question may be quashed. 6.

The petitioner is present in Court and is identified by his counsel. It is seen that one of the reasons for the dispute was a sum of ₹3.5 lacs borrowed by the petitioner from his father-in-law. The petitioner states that he shall return the said amount positively within a period of three months from today. He is bound down to the said statement. 7.

It is clarified that the payment of the said amount by the petitioner is not contingent on the petitioner receiving the refund of the security from the lessor. The petitioner also undertakes this Court that he shall treat respondent no.2 with due respect and dignity. 8.

In view of the statements made by the concerned parties, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. 9.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 0015/2019 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Krishna Nagar and all other proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
