% 13.03.2020 Issue notice.
The learned counsel named above accepts notice. The petitioner is concessionaire/contractor of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) to operate the parking lot at Bengali Market roundabout in terms of the agreement dated 26.07.2019 with the NDMC. The learned counsel for the respondent submits that they are extending every assistance in this regard since they would not want to lose revenue of roughly Rs. 2 lakh per month which is envisaged under the said agreement. He submits that some law and order issues are being raised by some persons in the market place.
In view of the above, Delhi Police is directed to ensure that the petitioner is not physically obstructed by any third party, in operating the NDMC parking site at the Bengali Market roundabout. NDMC too should not be put to any unlawful hindrance in optimising the utilization of its properties, so as to augment its revenues.
The petition is disposed-off in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties.
