O R D E R

% 05.01.2018 Respondent no.2-Smt. Vandana is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Praveen Chauhan of police station Jagat Puri.

She submits that she has finally settled the matter with the petitioner before the Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre on 11th September, 2017 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 2nd January, 2018 passed by the Family Court, Shahdara District, Karkardooma Court, Delhi. Petitioner has paid `1.50 lacs to the

respondent no.2 vide two separate demand drafts, photocopy whereof has been placed on record.

Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount stands paid and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 598/2011 under Sections 498A IPC registered at police station Jagat Puri and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
