% 03.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 30th September, 2016. Petitioner nos. 2 to 10 are relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Rajesh Yadav of police station Sangam Vihar. She submits that their marriage has been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 6th June, 2016 by the Family Court, South District, Saket, New Delhi. She further submits she has already received `1.50 lac out of the total settled amount, i.e., `2.50 lacs. Balance amount of `1 lac has been paid by the petitioner no.1 to the respondent no.2 today in Court by way of demand draft bearing

no. 517581 dated 8th December, 2016 drawn on Kotak Mahindra Bank. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and their marriage has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 119/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sangam Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti.
