The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, 1950 read with Section 151 of Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 ('CPC') seeking the following reliefs: "a) Issue appropriate directions to the Court of Ld. District Judge, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi, presided over by Hon'ble Sh. Dharmender Rana, to dispose of CS No. 56063/16 titled "Lok Kalyan Samiti Vs. Acharya Kriplani Memorial Trust" within a time-bound schedule;

b) Direct day-to-day recording of evidence and completion of cross examination within a stipulated period; c) Pass such other or further order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case."
